Moroccan Seafood Pastilla – A Tasty Twist on a Classic Dish
Ingredients:
1/2 pound mixed seafood (shrimp, fish, calamari)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads (optional)
6-8 sheets of filo pastry
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions:
1. Saute onion and garlic in butter until soft.
2. Add seafood, spices, and saffron. Cook until seafood is done and water evaporates.
3. Layer filo pastry, adding the seafood mixture between sheets.
4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until crispy.
5. Serve with lemon wedges.
